HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The city is looking for a consultant to help transform the Iwilei-Kapalama neighborhood around its planned rail station.

The city released Thursday a rendering of what the transit-oriented development (TOD) could look like with the right partners and vision.

The selected consultant will be tasked with creating a roadmap that includes affordable housing, climate resilience, infrastructure coordination and community benefits.

“We’re not just planning for the future — we’re building the framework to deliver results,” said Kevin D. Auger, director-designate of the city Department of Housing and Land Management.
