Fort Wayne reliever Eiker Huizi surrendered a decisive run in the eighth and the TinCaps lost to host Beloit 5-4 at ABC Supply Stadium on Thursday in Beloit, Wisconsin.

Fort Wayne (27-27) saw a two-game winning streak snapped. It has not won three in a row since a stretch of six consecutive victories from April 27 to May 3.

Rosman Verdugo had two hits, including a double, and drove in a run and Kai Roberts and Victor Duarte had two hits apiece for Fort Wayne.

The score was tied at 4 after three innings and remained that way into the eighth. In the bottom of that frame, Huizi, who had pitched a 1-2-3 seventh, gave up back-to-back doubles to open the inning, including a tie-breaking, RBI two-bagger to Michael Snyder on a line drive to left. Snyder went 3 for 4 and doubled twice.
