NEWCASTLE — Weston County’s efforts to get the Wyoming Legislature to abide by the state’s constitution when it comes to legislative representation is moving one step forward after Sen. Cale Case, R-Lander, announced that a subcommittee will be formed to look into the issue.
During a May 8 meeting of the Joint Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Committee in Lander, Sue Mireles, who was appointed to fill a vacancy declared by the county commission last year, asked Case if the committee plans to address Senate File 174/Senate Enrolled Act 73 regarding constitutional apportionment.
