In five NFL seasons since turning pro, J.K. Dobbins has never rushed for 1,000 yards in a year, but what he could do for the Broncos is make everyone in the locker room run harder eight days a week.
“Another good football player,” Broncos coach Sean Payton said Thursday.
Clearly a stage or two beyond the foundational work of a massive rebuilding project, Denver is now in the business of stacking talent to knock the Kansas City Chiefs on their keisters and steal the AFC West crown.
“We really like the (running back) group we’re working with,” Payton said. “It’s just another opportunity to possibly bring in another good football player to help us win.”
