Over 10,000 residents in West Texas are without power Thursday night after a severe storm system produced large size hail, high wind gusts and tornadoes.
According to the Lubbock Power and Light outage map , as of 8:47 p.m., 120 active outages had impacted 4,465 customers in Lubbock.
The maps show residents in southwest, south, and southeast Lubbock are being impacted the heaviest; however, outages are being reported city-wide. Crews are being reported assigned to the outages in Lubbock.
Xcel Energy also reports eight active outages impacting 2,405 customers in Lubbock and Hockley County.
According to its outage map , 2,072 customers in Ropesville, Wolfforth, Meadow and Lubbock have been impacted, with a crew having been assigned to the outage.
