RANDALL COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Randall County District Attorney, Robert Love, reported that Joshua Griffin Borders was sentenced to 14 years in prison following his conviction for a second-degree felony.

Borders, 31, was found guilty on June 4 of "Indecency with a Child," sexually touching an 8-year-old child in a 2022 incident that occurred at a residence between Amarillo and Canyon. The child disclosed the abuse to an adult immediately after the incident, and law enforcement was promptly notified.

The trial began on June 2. During testimony, the child took the stand and described the abuse while Borders was present in the courtroom.
