Cobb County neighborhood blocked off as SWAT team executes search warrant

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Cobb County Police surrounded a Mableton neighborhood on Thursday trying to execute a search warrant.

Police first told Atlanta News First that officers responded to an incident at a home on Pisgah Road, before calling in SWAT, leading to what appeared to be other federal agencies arriving to assist.

“I’ve seen it since 4:00 p.m.,” shared one resident who lived nearby the SWAT situation. “All of them keep pulling up. More and more of them keep pulling up. It’s very scary.”

After SWAT and other law enforcement agencies cleared the area around 10:00 p.m., Cobb County told us it left the home on “Pisgah Road without significant incident. There is no danger to the public. Detectives with our Major Crimes Unit will be working diligently on this case.”
