OKLAHOMA CITY, OK. — With their season on the line, Texas Tech softball has forced a winner take all game three after defeating Texas 4-3 Thursday night.

The Red Raiders would plate home two runs in the fifth inning, on a bases-loaded hit by pitch and passed ball.

Texas would respond in the top of the sixth with a solo home run, but the Red Raiders would extend their lead to three heading to the final frame.

In the top of the seventh, Texas would plate home two runs but that would be as close as they got.

Inside the circle, NiJaree Canady pitched a complete game shutout, allowing six hits while striking out six.

Texas Tech and Texas will play Friday at 7 p.m. for a chance to claim the program's first softball National Championship.
