CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Cincinnati police made an arrest in a stabbing that left 46-year-old Patrick Heringer dead in Over-the-Rhine on Wednesday.
Mordecia Black, 38, was arrested by police on Wednesday. He was charged with murder and aggravated burglary.
Police have not said what led up to the attack.
Brant Dutle said he and his wife had known Heringer and his wife for a decade.
"I think of him like a modern-day Renaissance man, I mean, I'd always find out a little bit more about his background sometimes and then like how many lives have you led," said Dutle.
Dutle said he was in shock when he found out Heringer was the victim in the stabbing.
"Didn't believe it, thought maybe social media made a mistake or somebody had the wrong name and I saw my friend's face, I broke down," he said.
