Texas softball lost Game 2 of the Women's College World Series Championship Thursday 4-3, as Texas Tech evened the series 1-1.
The Longhorns opted to use multiple pitchers to stall out the Red Raiders' lineup. Mac Morgan started the game before being relieved by Cambria Salmon. The freshman made it through the fourth before loading the bases in the fifth. Salmon hit a batter to give up a run, and Texas Tech earned another on a wild pitch.
Texas third baseman Mia Scott got a run back in the top of the sixth with a solo home run, but Texas Tech responded with two more runs in the bottom. NiJaree Canady came back out in the seventh after six shutout innings, but things began getting dicey.
