Audit of Governor’s Mansion finds $5,164 in questionable spending in ’23; Sanders’ counsel disputes report

Arkansas Legislative Audit's review of 45 transactions at the Governor's Mansion in fiscal 2023 that ended June 30 of that year revealed that two expenditures totaling $5,164 were incurred for social events held by the Governor's Mansion in May and June of 2023 that did not serve a public purpose, a deputy legislative auditor told lawmakers on Thursday.
