The Columbian will celebrate Southwest Washington’s top high school athletes of the 2024-25 season at the second-annual All-Region High School Sports Awards Ceremony this evening. Tickets are sold out but the livestream will begin below starting at 6 p.m.
Hosted by The Columbian and its high-school sports department, 360Preps, the event features keynote speaker and Clark Superior Court Judge Camara Banfield. Banfield was a state-champion sprinter at Mountain View High School. She went on to be a four-time All-American at the University of Oregon. She earned a law degree and returned to Vancouver to serve as a Clark County criminal prosecutor. She became the first woman of color to be a Clark County Superior Court judge when Gov. Jay Inslee appointed her in 2021.
