VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — One Virginia Beach family's day was made a little bit brighter on Thursday, thanks to volunteers with Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group and the Roc Solid Foundation.
Liam Setzer is 6, and he's fighting a Wilms tumor, a rare kind of kidney cancer. On Thursday, volunteers surprised him with a brand new playset that they constructed right in his backyard.
"It's definitely a rough road, with valleys, but when we get these high moments where you get to experience with the family some laughter and joy, it makes it all worthwhile," said Dusty Setzer, Liam's dad.
Liam and his brother explored the playset, and Liam slid down the slide with a big grin on his face.
