Susan Elizabeth Harrington of Bourne died on June 3 after a battle with cancer. She was 72.

Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, to Delbert and Elizabeth (Walton) d’Eon, she moved to the US when she was 2, holding both Canadian and American citizenship.

Graduating in 1970 from Lynn Classical High School, she earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Fitchburg State University in 1971 before receiving her master’s degree in education from Cambridge College. She also earned a certificate of advanced graduate study in 2006.
