The German police chief spearheading the now-ended renewed hunt for Madeleine McCann reportedly shared a frank four-word statement before it took place. This week, German and Portuguese law enforcement descended on several properties in southern Portugal, near Praia da Luz - the spot where Madeleine vanished in 2007 .
The last time authorities scoured this area in relation to Madeleine's case was back in 2023. Following a tip-off, German bobbies spent a week combing through the Barragem do Arade reservoir, roughly 30 miles from Madeleine's last known location.
