OBERLIN — The offense got going early for the Warren JFK baseball team. Unfortunately for the Eagles, it didn’t continue.
Kennedy fell 4-3 to Tiffin Calvert in a Division VII regional final on Thursday at Oberlin College. The Senecas scored the final four runs of the game over the course of the sixth and seventh innings to end Kennedy’s season.
“Couldn’t add on, and you’re playing with fire when you play a good ballclub like that,” Warren JFK head coach Jim Ciambotti said. “That cost us in the end. We had some opportunities to cash in.”
The Eagles (18-9) scored all their runs in the bottom of the first inning.
Landon Snyder singled to lead off and Andrew Lapolla was hit by a pitch to put the first two runners on for the Eagles. Michael Bartoe put the first run on the board with an RBI
