HONOLULU (Island News) -- Honolulu City Councilmembers are looking to crack down on illegal game rooms with new bills that sets out to reduce gambling and violence across neighborhoods on Oahu.
Tucked away in our communities are gambling operations often riddled with drugs and firearms. Game rooms threaten the public’s safety resulting in police raids that regularly take place.
These measures that intent to solve these issues are Bills 11, 12 and 13. Councilmember Andria Tupola, who is a co-introducer of these measures, explained what they each address:
