Four people have pleaded guilty in a scheme that involved bribing St. Louis area driver's license office workers to fraudulently register vehicles in Missouri.
Gary Wilds, 48, ran a business, Pinnacle Concierge, that helped customers register their vehicles with the Missouri Department of Revenue, according to a government press release.
Wilds admitted bribing three license office employees in St. Louis and St. Charles counties no more than $100 per vehicle to falsely represent to the state that the vehicles had passed emissions and safety checks and the owners had paid property taxes.
