Surely, this year’s Mizzou- Auburn matchup can’t match the mayhem of the last two games in the series.

Last season in Columbia, Missouri football quarterback Brady Cook returned from an in-game hospital visit on a high-ankle sprain to lead a last-gasp homecoming win. Two years earlier on the road, running back Nate Peat spilled a fumble into the end zone in overtime after Harrison Mevis missed a chip-shot field goal as time expired in regulation, and MU, somehow, returned home with a loss.

Surely, this year’s matchup between the two Tigers will be more normal.

Normal or not, Mizzou’s first road game of the season looks like a stern test against a seemingly much-improved AU squad.
