GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Pools and splash pads open in Grand Rapids Friday.

Briggs Park Pool and Martin Luther King Jr. are open from June 6 to Aug. 16. Richmond Pool will remain closed due to pump issues, but is expected to open later in the summer.

The pools are open from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays.

The city's 15 splash pads are located at the following parks: Aberdeen Park, Alger Park, Campau Park, Cherry Park, Fuller Park, Garfield Park, Gerald R. Ford Academic Center, Heartside Park, Highland Park, Joe Taylor Park, Lincoln Park, Mary Water Park, Mulick Park, Roosevelt Park and Wilcox Park.

The pads are open every day from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. They close for the season Sept. 14.
