Mike Rydings, then 47, travelled to the popular Spanish holiday destination of Benidorm back in 2018, but was tragically attacked in a vicious assault.

The incident happened after Mike and a group of friends watched the World Cup and enjoyed birthday celebrations for a friend until the early hours of 23rd June, 2018.

It was then when the Wythenshawe-near-Manchester born builder had his nose broken before he fell to the ground.

He hit his head, resulting in horrific injuries after he was attacked by a group of five or six unknown men.

He was rushed to a hospital before his then-pregnant daughter Hayley and sister, Nicola, flew out to be by his side.
