Stanton has been taking BP this week and Aaron Boone told reporters that Stanton could “potentially” start a rehab assignment next week. It’s unclear how long the Yankees would want Stanton to rehab in the minors. Once Stanton does return, it could produce a bit of a logjam, with Ben Rice and Paul Goldschmidt both standing to see Stanton eat into their at-bats.
