A local fast food chain was required to do some deep cleaning following an inspection within the past week.
Routine restaurant inspections happen two to three times per year based on priority and location of Columbia restaurants, Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services previously has said. Follow-up inspections happen if a critical violation is found. Restaurants usually can correct noncritical violations by the next routine inspection. Reports are from May 27 through Monday, June 2, unless otherwise noted.
Grease buildup, dust and food splatter on walls and other kitchen surfaces, noted as a repeat violation, was present May 28 at DQ Grill and Chill, 1201 Forum Blvd. Staff had until June 4 to clean, but the follow-up report was not available at deadline.
