PORTSMOUTH - Morghan Ruhnke and Ginger Vinciguerra both had five goals as the top-seeded Portsmouth High School girls lacrosse team beat No. 9 Windham, 20-5 in a Division I quarterfinal Thursday at Tom Daubney Field.
Portsmouth (18-0) will face fourth-seeded Exeter on Saturday in a semifinal at Bill Ball Stadium. Exeter advanced with a 13-11 win over No. 5 Nashua North.
"It was great to get another win on our home turf one last time," Portsmouth head coach JoJo Curro. "We had some great defensive stops and executed on the attack. From end to end it was a great team win and gets us one step closer to our final team goal."
