LISBON, Ohio - Sentencing is scheduled on Friday for a Salem woman convicted of aggravated arson in connection with a May 2024 apartment fire that injured a firefighter and a resident.
Alicia Craig, 34, was found guilty of two counts of aggravated arson, both first-degree felonies, following a two-day jury trial that concluded June 3.
Investigators accused Craig of setting fire to an apartment building on East 6th Street in Salem on May 2, 2024. The indictment in the case stated that 12 lives were put at risk, including those of two first responders.
One firefighter required hospital treatment for a knee injury, and an apartment resident suffered minor burns as a result of the blaze.
