Today will be a hot one with a mix of sun and clouds, with a 20% chance of an isolated afternoon shower. Highs are expected in the low to mid 90s, heat index up to 100.

BASEBALL AT THE BOX

This Saturday at 1PM, LSU hosts game one of the Super Regionals vs West Virginia. It will be mainly dry, but very hot with highs in the mid 90s and heat index up to 105.

SPC SEVERE THREATS

There isn’t much in the way of severe weather this forecast, but there is a level one marginal risk of strong/severe storms Sunday into Monday, mainly north of Baton Rouge.

HEAT INDEX ON THE RISE

The heat will go from bad to worse this weekend, as heat index values are expected to be between 100-105.
