LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Firefighters rushed to knock down flames that were spreading at a house converted into an apartment in central Lincoln early Friday morning.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue were called to the structure on 30th Street between U and Vine around 4:45 a.m.

10/11′s Skyview camera showed smoke rising from the area of the fire. Battalion Chief Jeremy Gegg says crews were able to get the flames knocked down quickly, and no injuries occurred.

Gegg added that there’s fire damage to the second floor, but they believe the flames may have started on the first floor and moved up.

The residents who live in the building will have to be relocated, according to Gegg. The cause and amount of damage are under investigation.
