JAMESTOWN, Va. — The Jamestown-Scotland Ferry is back up and running after being out of service due to a maintenance issue, according to transportation officials.
Service had been temporarily suspended, prompting travelers in Surry County and James City County to seek alternate routes. Crews worked to quickly resolve the problem, and the ferry has now resumed normal operations.
The ferry serves as a vital connection across the James River, and its return is expected to ease local commutes.
