BEDFORD, Ohio (WOIO) - A Bedford Heights mother charged with child endangering after she left her kids alone in the car while she shopped, was entered into the Bedford Municipal Court’s diversion program.

This means is Mycal Davis successfully completes the program, the charges will be dismissed.

On Feb. 4, Davis was inside the Solon Giant Eagle on Aurora Road.

Solon police said a shopper spotted the children in the car and told a store employee, who called police.

When officers arrived, they found Davis’s one-year-old and six-year-old in the running car with the doors unlocked.

Officers paged Davis and said she exited the store about six minutes later.

Davis told officers the children were sleeping when she got to the store and she just went inside to get their dinner.
