But don’t just take our word for it. Hear it for yourself at Station 2 of 10 on the new Long Pond Barrens Birding Trail in the Pocono Mountains.
The trail winds through the Long Pond Preserve owned and actively managed by The Nature Conservancy. This preserve complex features several plots along Route 115 and Long Pond Road in the area of Pocono Raceway in Monroe County.
Coinciding with National Trails Day, a grand opening of the Long Pond Barrens Birding Trail with guided tours is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. It is free and open to the public, but registration is required because space is limited. Visit nature.org to learn more and sign up.
