WALDORF, MD – After an extra-inning thriller at home the night before, the Alexandria Aces couldn’t carry that momentum into their road game Thursday evening. Traveling to Waldorf, Maryland, the Aces stumbled in a 7–3 loss to their South Division rivals, the Southern Maryland Senators .

Things started off promising for Alexandria as they jumped out to an early 2–0 lead in the top of the first inning. But that spark didn’t last as the Senators quickly responded, tying the game in the second, adding one run in the third, and breaking things open with a four-run fourth inning. Though the Aces managed a run in the ninth, the gap was too wide to close.
