A spot in Alberta just got a big shoutout from National Geographic, all thanks to its magnificent stargazing opportunities.

The renowned nonprofit organization rounded up its list of best stargazing sites in North America, from d ark sky sanctuaries, reserves, parks, and trails.

Plenty of spots in Canada made the cut, and of course, Alberta got some love, with Jasper National Park being the only park fully situated in the province included on the list.

National Geographic pointed to Jasper National Park’s designation as a Dark Sky Preserve by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, one of 17 in the country, with the town even residing within the preserve’s limits.
