RAYMOND, Maine — Egypt Road in Raymond reopened before 10:30 a.m. Friday, several hours after a car crashed into a utility pole.

Christopher Teas, 41, of Raymond was driving his 2014 Toyota Sienna on Egypt Road near Vogel Road when he lost control around 6:40 a.m. and went off the road, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

The vehicle then struck a utility pole, causing the wires to come down across the road.

Teas was treated at the scene by Raymond EMS for injuries not considered life-threatening and was released, officials said.

Teas was issued a traffic summons for imprudent speed, which officials said was a factor for the crash.

Central Maine Power responded to the scene and replaced the telephone pole and restore power, officials said.
