A final farewell this weekend to a Baltimore City firefighter who died last month in a training exercise.

Three weeks ago today, 17-year veteran firefighter and emergency vehicle driver Charlie Mudra collapsed and died during a training exercise at the city fire academy.

Visitation for Mudra takes place from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Duda-Ruck Funeral Home in Dundalk.

His funeral is set for tomorrow morning at the Church of the Nativity in Timonium.

He was the second Baltimore firefighter to die in the line of duty during the third week in May.

Days earlier, Lt. Mark Dranbauer suffered a medical emergency while on duty and died days later.
