Eric Hashim isn’t just watching the Trump administration’s trade wars unfold from the sidelines — he’s racing against the clock to keep his import business from being crushed by it.

His company, Lock-Jaw Premium Adhesives & Films in Tarentum, relies heavily on products made in Chinese factories. So he’s been working in overdrive to fill orders as fast as possible during the 90-day pause on Chinese tariffs before a 145% tariff snaps back into place in August.

“Everyone has had to get very strategic right now about how to work around the tariffs,” Mr. Hashim said. “Fortunately now we have this 90-day reprieve.”
