ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences was awarded a $100,910 grant from The Hortense and Louis Rubin Community Health Fund of the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region. According to the college, the grant will be used to launch a series of Cardiovascular-Kidney-Metabolic screening sessions each year.

The screening events will be designed to focus on low-income communities affected by kidney-related issues throughout Albany, including Albany's South End, West Hill, Arbor Hill and North Albany. The grant will also be used to host in-home and mobile health education and screening services for homebound or disabled individuals.
