HOLLAND, MI — A Holland-based automation systems manufacturer has expanded its local presence.
Koops Automation Systems has completed a 15,000-square-foot addition to its 58,000-square-foot machining and fabrication center at 881 Productions Place in Holland.
The expansion was necessary to increase production capacity at its Holland campus, David Jessup, Koops vice president of infrastructure and systems, said.
“It has been full for quite some time, and we decided not too long ago to go ahead and expand that,” he said.
Construction began last October and wrapped up in mid-April.
The $2 million project’s cost will be offset by an industrial facilities tax exemption valued at nearly $350,000 over 12 years. Koops worked with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Lakeshore Advant
