A small twister caused more than $500 in damage at the St. Louis County poor farm, and for a time threatened destruction of the two-story farm house, A.P. Cook, clerk of the poor commission, said. The twister started near Arlington Avenue and worked toward the farm, picking up a 2-ton hay loader and carrying it more than 100 feet. Superintendent Chris Jensen, his family, and eight employees were asleep in the farmhouse at the time.

The Clean-Up Committee of the Women's Institute has received many complaints about the dumping of refuse in St. Louis Bay. Any person apprehended in this act faces arrest and a fine of $100,000.
