Jessie J took to social media to reveal to fans that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Grammy-nominated singer, 37, broke the shocking news in a candid Instagram video on Tuesday. Though the British singer shared that the cancer is in its “early” stages, the “No Secrets” singer told fans that she will be undergoing a double mastectomy.

“Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word ‘early.’ I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period,” she told followers.

In the clip, the singer shared that she was debating about whether to announce the diagnosis. In her opinion, the media would’ve made her news “way bigger than it needs to be.” But she changed her mind and wanted “to share it with my fans and the people that care about me.”
