A Georgia teen who jumped in to help his co-workers at Burger King right after graduating high school has been awarded a $10,000 scholarship from the fast food chain.

According to the New York Post, Mykale Baker, a recent graduate of Mills Creek High School, was gifted $10,000 from the Burger King Foundation after his feel-good story went viral on social media.

Baker, 18, graduated last month, and instead of celebrating his achievement, the teen worked a late-night shift at a Burger King in Dacula, Georgia after seeing his co-workers were swamped with customers.

Patron Maria Mendoza noticed that Baker was still wearing his graduation stole and medals as he bagged fries. Mendoza shared a video on TikTok of Baker’s selfless act, which garnered over 4 million views.
