ITHACA, MI — DTE Energy has completed another new solar park in mid-Michigan.
The new 100-megawatt Polaris Solar Park in Gratiot County is expected to generate enough clean energy to power approximately 24,000 Michigan homes, according to a DTE news release.
Company officials said a ribbon-cutting ceremony, to take place from 10:15 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 11, at the site will highlight DTE’s continued investment in Michigan’s renewable energy future.
“Polaris Solar Park represents another step forward in DTE’s long-term commitment to building a cleaner, more sustainable energy future for our customers and our state,” Renee Tomina, senior vice president of DTE Energy’s Project Management Office, said in a statement.
