STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (7News) — A conversation about rent turned violent Wednesday afternoon when a man allegedly assaulted his roommate with a golf club, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said Deputy R.L. Beasley responded to the incident in which they described as a “roommate ruckus” around 2:31 p.m.

Their investigation revealed that the victim attempted to talk to the suspect about rent. That’s when deputies said the suspect assaulted the victim with a golf club.
