1 taken to the hospital after accident, Rich Creek fire crews say

(WSET) — The Rich Creek Fire Department said one person was taken to the hospital after an accident on Thursday.

On Thursday evening, firefighters from the Rich Creek Fire Department were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 460 and Old Virginia Avenue, the department said.

The department said that upon arrival, crews determined that extrication was needed. Narrows Fire Department responded for mutual aid and helped on the scene with extraction operations. One person was successfully extricated and taken by EMS for further treatment.

"We’re grateful for the strong teamwork and quick response from all agencies involved," the department said.
