CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Walmart shoppers in Charlotte will soon be able to have their groceries delivered by drones, the company announced this week.

The retail giant said in a June 5 news release that it is expanding its drone delivery service to five new cities, with Charlotte being one of them.

Walmart has partnered with drone company Wing to complete deliveries, and will offer the service at 100 stores across its seven drone delivery markets.

At first, the drone delivery service was only available in the Dallas, Texas and Bentonville, Ark. areas, but will be soon also be offered in Houston, Tampa, Orlando and Atlanta, in addition to Charlotte.
