Flames rip through building in Canfield, Route 62 closed

CANFIELD, Ohio - A stretch of Route 62 in Canfield is closed as crews from several fire departments are on the scene of a fire in a building.

A caller reported seeing black smoke coming from a structure on property along the 4100 block of Youngstown-Salem Road just after 8 a.m. Friday.

The first firefighter to arrive said flames had spread throughout the structure and are trying to keep them from spreading.

Route 62 is closed between Bentwillow Drive and Messerly Road west of Cornersburg.

No injuries have been reportted.
