To celebrate its Open House, the new J.R. Dulin Archive and Research Center will open its doors to the public from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, June 12.
In this building, one can find a myriad of histories including that of Wallings Ferry, Millville and Caledonia communities, and the towns formerly known as Pigeye and Bugscuffle. Those interested in the Hendricks and Monte Verdi Plantations and many of the original Henderson families and homes will also be satisfied.
The Archive also contains information on all of the Rusk County cemeteries, lists of local Civil War veterans, and copies of the Henderson Daily News from 1960-2023. At the Open House, guests will also find refreshments indoors and ice cream floats on the porch.
