CHESHIRE, Conn. (WTNH) — News 8's Laura Hutchinson and Alyssa Taglia were in your neighborhood this week, both joining the Special Olympics Torch Run on Thursday.

They joined the third leg of the annual law enforcement torch run, which helps kick off the Special Olympics Summer Games.

Athletes Carly and Peter joined them along the way and at the end.

Laura said there was great community support along Route 10 with schools and businesses outside with water or signs.

Cheshire police had a great group once again this year.
