Day 22: Last 2 inmates not yet found, mother of recaptured inmate speaks

NEW ORLEANS — It has been 22 days since the search began for Antoine Massey and Derrick Groves. when 10 inmates escaped from the Orleans Justice Center, has intensified for the last two inmates on the run. A $50,000 reward for tips is fueling the search for information on Goves and Massey’s whereabouts.

During the investigation that followed the massive jailbreak, families of the inmates who have been recaptured are beginning to hear from their loved ones, now calling from inside the maximum-security state penitentiary.

One of them is Natasha, the mother of Lenton Vanburen, one of 10 men who escaped from the Orleans Justice Center and were recaptured days later.

"Of course I don't condone him, you know, breaking out of jail... at the end of the day, he's still my child," she said.
