ROCKBRIDGE CO, Va. (WDBJ) - A crash involving 2 vehicles in Rockbridge County resulted in 1 person dead, 2 people injured and the other unscathed, say Virginia State Police.
On Wednesday afternoon, June 4, a Jaguar XF failed to yield and was struck by an oncoming Honda Civic at the intersection of East Midland Trail and Memorial Ln.
The driver in the Jaguar, identified as Melodie Vohar, 78, of Lexington, Va., was pronounced dead at the scene and wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, say VSP investigators.
The Honda carrying two people, a 19-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were both injured and taken to a hospital.
Both victims were not wearing seatbelts, according to investigators.
A 78-year-old man traveling with Vohar was unharmed and confirmed to have worn a seatbelt, say officials.
