ROCK CAVE, W. Va. ( WDTV /Gray News) - A West Virginia couple was arrested Tuesday after deputies in Upshur County found three children living among rotting garbage and piles of feces.

Catara White, 25, and Trevor Howell, 26, were arrested after the three children, ages 2, 5 and 15 years old, were found living in unsanitary conditions in a home on Frazier Road in Rock Cave, according to the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies initially received tips about numerous dogs running around, the home’s floor falling in and both suspects going to neighbors to ask for food or showers for the children.
